13Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned a month of days in Samaria.14Menahem son of Gadi came up from Tirzah and entered Samaria; he struck Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria and caused him to die, and he reigned in his place.15And the remainder of the words of Shallum and his conspiracy that he conspired, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.16Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all that was in it and its borders from Tirzah, because it did not open; and he struck all its pregnant ones and broke them open.
